اينم يه بيمارستان تخصصي كودكان كه به گفته خودشون هدفش طراحي بيمارستاني بوده كه شبيه بيمارستان نيست!!!

In June 1999 Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital Trust launched a design competition to produce a paediatric unit which would set new standards of healthcare.
Expressions of interest were received from 56 architect led design consortia, and five teams were invited to go forward to the design stage. During this period the teams visited the hospital to meet with the end users of the building. Final judging was preceded by a wide consultation exercise involving hospital staff, patients, parents and families, local Planning Authority, English Heritage and Lambeth Palace. The scheme by Hopkins Architects proved to be the most popular choice. Following final judging, which involved interviews and presentations with the five teams, the Hopkins’ scheme emerged as the unanimous choice of the panel.
Work on the hospital building began in March 2002 and the building was first opened by HRH The Princess Royal on 15 June 2005, with the public opening taking place on 31 October 2005.
Evelina’s underlying philosophy is to create “a hospital that does not feel like a hospital” and is London’s first new children’s hospital for more than 100 years. It is a hospital created by children for children with young patients and their families involved in shaping its environment and architecture from the earliest stages of design. The result is a state-of-the-art hospital that redefines expectations.

روند طراحي اين بيمارستان با مسابقه اي در سال 1999 شروع مي شه و بين همه طرح ها اين طرح برنده مي شه و در سال 2005 شروع به كار مي كنه.اين كار جايزه هاي زيادي هم مي گيره.
اين طرح قبل از ساخت حتي با آمار گيري و نظر سنجي از بيماران و پدر و مادرها تاييد شد واسه همين مي گن اين طرح براي كودك با كمك كودك ساخته شده.
